On your journey to a happier, healthier and more fit you, it is really the little things that are going to help make the biggest changes in your life.
Here are a few tips to help you do that:
1. When working out, focus on intensity level as opposed to duration
2. Drink coconut water for electrolytes instead of Gatorade and artificially flavored and colored sports drinks
3. Use saltless seasoning like Ms. Dash or natural garlic, peppers, onions, thyme and basil to cut down on sodium
4. Take the steps instead of the elevator if you can
5. Walk instead of taking the train or bus if you’re able
6. Build your strength and endurance increasing weight or intensity level. Success is doing what you couldn’t before
7. Cook with Coconut, Grapeseed and Olive Oil as opposed to vegetable or Canola Oil
8. Eat 5-6 small but satisfying meals each day as opposed to 2 “roll on the floor full” meals 8 hours apart from each other
9. Cook at home more instead of eating out so much
10. Switch up your workout a bit and challenge yourself instead of always doing the same thing and always seeing the same results
11. Incorporate more leafy greens in everything you cook
12. Try and eat more vegetables than fruits
13. Make things baked, grilled or broiled instead of fried
14. Bring your own healthy snacks as opposed to being a slave to the snack machine
15 Always focus on things you’ve done and how far you’ve come. Positive energy and motivation. Saying “I can’t” means “I won’t”
