Real African Women is a partnership between Obaasema Magazine and the Gye Nyame (pronounced jean yuh-me) Empowerment Project (www.EmpowerMeGNEP.org) launched in May 2010 in New York. This initiative is a series of real discussions that allows African women to come together to discuss issues pertinent to their experiences as African women growing up and living in the abroad or back home. R.A.W. is about personal growth; it will invite college students and professional women to participate in these discussions with the hopes of unleashing a more confident woman.
Target Audience
African women 18 years and older.
