There are many ways of creating a peaceful day for yourself. After years of practice, I have found worship to be the most effective secret to having a joyous and peaceful day. It is quite interesting how the act of worship is defined today by some as a chore or duty. For me, worship is giving back to God in response to his love, forgiveness and for who he is. When we worship him, he works in us and makes us better. When we worship God, we are lifted to his presence and from his presence, we never leave the same.
Worshipping God can happen anywhere. We can also worship through what we do. So if at any point in your day you feel as though your strength is waning, worship; when you are sad, worship, and do so wholeheartedly for an unending joy. C.S Lewis once said that worship is inner health made audible. Indeed.
Worship is healthy for our soul and we function best when our soul reaches out to our creator in worship. There can be no health in the soul if there is no worship in the soul. Remain in worship this week to experience a different kind of peace.
