So sorry to be the bearer of bad news! But yes, true story, to really and truly see those abs, that diet has to be correct. When people say things like “abs are made in the kitchen,” “no diet, no abs,” they’re really not lying! You can do a lot of crunches and core exercises only to have those abs hidden underneath a layer of fat.
Because the reality is that you can’t “out exercise” a bad diet. You’ll still see some results but to see it at 100%, you need to make sure you’re not constantly eating and drinking crap. Is one healthy meal going to get you abs? Nope. Is one cheat meal going to ruin those abs? Nope. But just remember your body reflects what you do on a consistent basis. Not once in a while. Hips don’t lie! I am saying all of this to say that eating and drinking the right things is 80% if not more of your “Operation get abs” goal. Even if you don’t want abs and you just want that stomach flatter, same rules apply. If you don’t know now you know.
