Tips For Washing Long Natural Hair

Washing long natural hair can be a daunting and tedious task but if you tackle it in the right way, it is definitely a conquerable feat. Here are three simple steps that should make your shampoo and life much easier.

1) Section the hair into manageable sections (4-6 depending on thickness of your hair)

2) Do a co-wash. This is always recommended for natural hair but even more so if the hair is thick and long. Co-washing allows you to detangle and prepare hair for a matte-free shampoo.

3) Smooth the hair from roots to ends as you shampoo and condition. Never ball up into a clump as this can cause tangling.

Happy styling!
