Using Chemical-Based Products On Natural Hair

There are a myriad of products out there, most of which use synthetic ingredients. The truth is that some of the synthetic ingredients, such as dimethicone, help the hair feel soft and more manageable almost instantly.

The benefits of this ingredient are easier detangling and less hair loss on the comb-through. I still recommend incorporating the natural oils when using synthetic since synthetics only give you the soft feel but lack real lasting moisture benefits.

With that said, some of my favorite tried and tested shampoos and conditioners are Pantene for curly hair, Joico’s Color Enduresulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, and then there’s NutritiveNutri-Thermique shampoo and Thermo-Reactive Intensive Nutrition Masque byKerastase.

As far as styling products, if you like to blow dry your natural hair, some of my favorites are Joico K-Pak Smoothing Balm, Kerastase Nutritive Creme Oleo Relax Slim and Oribe Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray.
