Clean bathrooms are important of course. Sometimes we watch movies or see pictures of people drinking wine or a cup of tea while in their bathtub. That image projects the feeling of extreme relaxation and comfort. But an undeniable question that pops up is “How? How do they do it? How do they feel comfortable enough bringing items that they will put in their mouths into their bathrooms? What about the germs?”
Perhaps it’s your off day and you are looking for some you time. So, you decide to go all out with a self-care ritual. You shave, exfoliate, and use your nicely scented body wash. Or maybe you decide that you like a good soak. So, bubble baths, a good music playlist, a book, and some tea, coffee, or wine. Maybe even a piece of snack.
But through your excitement, you forget that you simply don’t feel comfortable enough to carry items that will go into your mouth into your bathroom. After all, you see this on TV or on social media posts all the time. The question now is what makes it possible for others to carry food items into their bathroom and not you? Ask yourself when last you deep cleaned your bathroom?
And when we say deep clean, we mean cleaning your bathroom inch by inch. Cleaning your bathroom with a fine toothcomb and extreme scrutiny. See, the bathroom can be one of the dirtiest and most unhealthy places in our homes. But it’s one that isn’t frequently or deeply as cleaned because of its “grossness.” There is then a massive accumulation of germs which makes it extremely unhealthy.
You might avoid cleaning your bathroom because of all the grossness associated with it. But that’s why there are all sorts of tools to help with all the gagging and the cringing. There are toilet aprons, rubber cleaning gloves, brushes, and even face masks or face shields.
And don’t forget to add a lot of disinfectant into your cleaning water. Soap is a strong agent, but disinfectant provides extra support and strength to ensure that the bathroom gets clean. You might find it valuable advice to pour in some air freshener into the cleaning mixture too. Or maybe just go into the store and look for extra strong cleaning supplies.
You might skip this step and go straight to hiring a cleaner to do the dirty job for you. It’s not easy to pump yourself up to touch the nasty stuff. It’s not an easy task. Besides, there are cleaners that are trained specifically to clean out germs and grimes from bathrooms. Hence, don’t forget to tip the cleaning lady for having nerves of steel.
Clean it yourself or hire someone to do it for you. But as soon as you begin to tiptoe around your bathroom, gagging every time you touch something and you can’t even bring in your glass of wine or your mug of tea, then you know that there’s something that needs to get done. You don’t, after all, want to miss out on your aesthetically pleasing self-care day.
