Our challenge for day 1 is to spend some time in solitude today. Taking a break from your day for some “me” time helps you to unwind and reboot.
Here are three ways you can make some “me” time today:
1. Switch off your phone or silent it for an hour or two
2. Use your lunch time at work and avoid spending it sitting at your desk or worst, running errands.
3. If you have a really busy schedule and tend to forget to take time off work, set an alarm on your phone to be reminded of your “me” time.
Solitude theorists have proposed some great benefits gained from time spent alone, including freedom, creativity, intimacy, and spirituality (Long & Averill, 2003).
