Obe Ata is a fried tomato stew recipe best known amongst people from western Nigeria. However, over the years it has traveled to different parts of the country and has experienced many variations of it, one of them being New York-based food company Egunsifoods’ ‘Obe ata seafood stew’ made with a variety of proteins (get our roasted turkey recipe) and their special vegan Obe Ata soup.

6 raw clams, cleaned
6 raw mussels, cleaned
1 tomato, diced
Jalapeño, thinly sliced to taste
1 jar Egunsifoods Obe Ata soup
Bread to serve

1.Cook linguine according to the package instructions.
2. In a deep saucepan, heat butter, add thyme and garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add shrimp, clams, mussels and 1 cup water, cover with a lid and cook for about 10 minutes until the clams and mussels open. Discard any unopened shells.
3. Heat up Egunsifoods Obe Ata Soup following the package instructions.
4. Assemble the bowls: add linguine, shrimp, clams, mussels, top everything with Obe Ata soup and sprinkle with diced tomatoes and jalapeños. Serve with toasted bread. Enjoy!
