Healthy Eats: How to Make Carrot Juice

Before we jump into the recipe, let’s take a quick look at some benefits of carrot: Vitamins A, K and C, fiber and potassium.

Vitamin A promotes healthy eyes and one medium carrot gives you over 200 percent of the daily recommended intake of the vitamin.

Vitamin K regulates your body’s ability to healthily clot blood and promotes kidney health and bone strength.

Vitamin C helps to boost your immune system and promotes strong teeth and gums.

Besides its ability to promote good bowel movement fiber, also contained in carrot, may be able to help control blood sugar levels.

And a good daily intake of potassium may help reduce risk of high blood pressure and stroke.

So, the next time you walk past the vegetable stand at the supermarket, reconsider your dismissal of the carrot.
